Havasu Regional Medical Center Introduces Cutting-Edge Electrophysiology Services
New program expands access to cardiovascular services close to home

Lake Havasu City, AZ (December 4, 2024) - Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is proud to announce the launch of its Electrophysiology (EP) program, marking a significant advancement in cardiac care for the region. As the only hospital in the Mohave County to offer this specialized service, HRMC is committed to providing high-quality, cardiac care close to home for patients and their families.

Electrophysiology is a subspecialty of cardiology that focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. With the introduction of this service, patients in Lake Havasu City and surrounding areas can now receive expert care for a wide range of cardiac arrhythmias without the need to Las Vegas or Phoenix.

The EP program at HRMC is equipped to diagnose and treat various heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation (AFib), atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia, bradycardia (slow heart rhythm) and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). HRMC's electrophysiology lab offers a range of procedures, such as diagnostic electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, pacemaker implantations, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) procedures.

Phil Fitzgerald, CEO at HRMC, adds, "The launch of our EP program underscores HRMC's commitment to expanding our services to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community. By offering these specialized treatments locally, we're not only improving patient outcomes but also reducing the stress and financial burden associated with traveling for care."
